T-Minus 9 Days

by Alex

We have 9 days until the Hoosiers Debate Healthcare assembly. Today was really the last day to finalize everything. A few of us will be at the Center some tomorrow, but for the most part our work is done until March 16th. We are pretty anxious about the whole thing. Is it going to turn out like we have planned? Hopefully. If not...o well. We have done the best we can. This is the first time any of us have ever set up anything like this before. Moreover, it is not just an event. It is a deliberative democracy event. Therefore, there are constraints and things we cannot do. Many of the things we could do to make the event better are restricted. So I feel like all we can do now is what and see what happens. I am really happy with what has happened so far. The good thing is that if the assembly does not come out like we have hoped, the interviews and film we have is definetly enough to make a documentary in itself.

See you all in 9 days!

Vacation

by James

Next week is our scheduled Spring Break, and while most students will be in a relaxation state of mind (myself included), there are members of our group who will be still hard at work, editing film and making progress on the project. We're gearing up for our Assembly, which takes place next weekend. Things are falling into place, and hopefully the bumps in the road will be minimal.

We're starting call-backs for potential Assembly participants today, as well. The current count is 14 RSVPs so far, but we are keeping our fingers crossed to increase that count. Wish us luck!
