After nearly thirty hours of telephone polling, my vocabulary has expanded. Never before was I aware that so many different words and phrases were acceptable ways of saying, "No sir, I am not interested in taking your poll today, but have a good day." The following are examples of such phrases:
"Whaaaaaat... I can't hear you!" (click).
"Not interested" (click).
"I'm busy" (click).
"I was just walking out the door" (click).
"Take me off your (expletive) list" (click).
"Now's not a good time.... actually no time is a good time" (click)
"I'm on a fixed income" (click).
"I don't know anything about healthcare" (click).
"I'm kind of dumb... I can't answer your questions" (click).
"BLANSFHELSISH (nonesense yelling into the phone)" (click).
